From Feminist Ideology to Intersexual Dialogue

Paul Nathanson has a Ph.D. in religious studies and has co-authored, with Katherine Young, Spreading misandry: The teaching of contempt for men in popular culture (2001); Legalizing misandry: From public shame to systemic discrimination against men (2006); Sanctifying misandry: Goddess ideology and the fall of man (2010) and Replacing misandry: A revolutionary history of men (2015). In this conversation with NEP president Lloyd Robertson, Dr. Nathanson explores the relationship of feminism and transgenderism, the evolution of cancel culture, and the need for intersexual dialogue.

    Lloyd Hawkeye Robertson is an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at the University of Regina. His main professional interest has been on the evolution and structure of the self.   He has also published on the psychological impacts of Indian residential schools, the use of a community development process to combat youth suicide, the construction of the (North American) aboriginal self, the concept of free will in psychotherapy, and male stigma as it affects men’s identity.  He is currently President of the New Enlightenment Project: A Canadian Humanist Initiative.
